Outage Information

Our service area is forecasted to see impacts from the #HurricaneIda Facebook hashtag as early as 1 p.m. today. Here are a few things to keep in mind in the event you experience a power outage.

  • Power outages due to tropical events are much different than power outages in other situations. Our servicemen and line crews will not be deployed to assess the damage and restore power until it is safe for them to do so. Safety is our primary concern. Due to this, prolonged outages can be expected.
  • If someone in your home requires electricity for a medical necessity, please have a backup plan in place. During tropical events, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • We encourage you to use the Smartshop app or to report your power outage to avoid overloading our automated phone system. If you need to report an outage by phone, please call (888) 465-9209.
  • You can not report outages on our social media networks. By using one of the methods listed above, your outage will automatically be reported to dispatchers in our control center. Our social media networks aren't connected to our outage management system, so we are not able to take outage reports on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. For your safety, please do not post your physical address in the comment section of our outage updates.

We are prepared and ready to respond when it is safe to do so. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and prayer in the days ahead.
