Did you know people steal power? They are stealing from you in ways you don’t think about, like on your electric bill. Each month, a little of your bill is used to pay for electricity someone has stolen. It’s not much, but it adds up.
When a neighbor or acquaintance tampers with his meter, it’s illegal and it costs you money. We quickly find most of those who steal electricity, and all of them eventually get caught. But the sooner they get caught, the better. If you know of an incident, please report it. It will help keep the cost of your electricity as low as possible.
$100 Meter Tampering Charge - This charge will be paid by any member whose meter indicates signs of tampering. This fee is in addition to estimated power use.
