Services Available
Auditorium
The headquarters building in Laurel includes an auditorium for use by the members, free of charge. The auditorium seats approximately 150 people. The auditorium includes tables, a stage, kitchen, and lectern. Please call the Member Service Department at Dixie Electric to reserve the facility. Reservations can be made up to twelve months in advance.
Meeting Rooms
The branch offices (Petal & Waynesboro) offer a meeting room, free of charge. The room includes a large meeting table and chairs. Please call the branch offices to reserve the facility during office hours.
Consumer/Member Newsletter
Today in Mississippi is delivered monthly to members of Dixie Electric. This monthly publication gives interesting information about Mississippi, your Association and tidbits on your electric service area.
Energy Audits
A program provided is by the Association, at no cost to the member, the residence is audited for energy consumption and recommendations are made on how to conserve and lower the electric bill.
HVAC
A program provided is by the Association, at no cost to the member, air conditioners and/or heat pumps are sized to meet the needs of the residence. This can be done from plans before construction begins or when retrofitting an existing house.
Medical Necessity List
Dixie Electric is aware of critical consumers during a major power outage. Members that should be on this list, need to present a letter from their physician.
Security Light
Dixie Electric will install a security light and the monthly fee will be added to your bill. There is no initial fee for the light with a one year contract.
